If you are heading to the Maldives from India, your Indian Nursing Council needs to send a certificate of good standing to the Maldivian health authority before you can be registered. Situation 1 — You are moving to the Maldives from India
You have a job offer in the Maldives, and MNMC, or the Maldives Ministry of Health, requires a good standing certificate from your Indian Nursing Council as part of your registration process. Your Indian council issues this certificate and sends it directly to the Maldivian authority. You cannot submit it yourself.
Situation 2—You are already in the Maldives and planning to move to another country
You are currently registered with MNMC and planning to move to the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, the UK, Ireland, or Australia. Those countries will ask for a good standing certificate from MNMC confirming your professional record during your time in the Maldives. This is a separate document from anything issued in India.

If you have been registered with MNMC and are planning your next move, two rules about the MNMC good-standing certificate are worth knowing before you start planning your exit.
MNMC will only issue a good-standing certificate after you have completed at least 18 months of registration with the council. If you have been in the Maldives for 12 or 14 months, you are not yet eligible. Knowing this in advance helps you time your exit correctly.
The MNMC certificate is also valid for only 6 months from the date it is issued. Most international licensing authorities, including those in the UAE, UK, and Ireland, will not accept a certificate older than 6 months. This means you need to time your application close to your actual submission deadline for the next country, not months in advance.
The official fee for the MNMC good standing certificate is MVR 500, payable to the Maldives Ministry of Health. Processing takes approximately 25 working days once all documents are correctly submitted.
If you are going to the Maldives and applying from your Indian council:
Your council registration certificate that is valid and active, a clear passport copy of the first and last pages, a recent passport-size photograph, the correct MNMC recipient address, and the authorization letter that Trueway prepares for you in the correct format.
If you are leaving the Maldives and applying for an MNMC certificate:
Your passport copy, your most recent Maldives visa or residence permit copy, your experience certificate from the last hospital you worked in the Maldives, a Maldives Police Clearance Certificate, your MNMC registration details, and the official application form from the Maldives Ministry of Health portal, along with proof of payment of MVR 500.
