Check your status on the DataFlow Group's status page with your case number and passport number. DataFlow emails you when the report is ready and also sends it to your health authority. Lost the case number? Search with your client reference number, or ask us.
After you apply for Dataflow, two questions come up again and again: where is my case, and how do I get my report? This guide answers both, and what to do when the status does not move.

How to check your Dataflow status
The DataFlow Group has its own status page, dataflowstatus.com. You need:
- your DataFlow case number (also called the reference or barcode number), and
- your passport number.
If you have lost the case number, DataFlow lets you search with your client reference number instead. In our cases, the case number is found again through the email ID that was used for the application. Some health authorities also show the status in their own portal, for example DHA's Sheryan once the report is linked to your application.
Use only the DataFlow Group's own website and your health authority's portal. Look-alike sites and agents who ask for your password are a known risk: DataFlow warns applicants about them.
What the status means
In plain words, a case is in one of three states:
- Still in progress: DataFlow is waiting for answers from your university, council or employers.
- Waiting for you: the verifier needs something from you, such as a contact or a clearer document. Answer quickly: the case waits until you do.
- Completed: the report is ready. Each document has a result: positive, discrepancy, negative or unable to verify.
If one document is not positive, read our guide on a negative or "unable to verify" Dataflow report.
What a PSV report is
The Dataflow report is also called the PSV report: PSV stands for primary source verification. DataFlow asks each source (your university, your council, each employer) whether your document is genuine, and the report gives the answer for each document: positive, discrepancy, negative or unable to verify.
Your health authority receives the same report. When a document is not positive, the usual next step is an appeal or another document, as the guide on negative reports explains.
How to download your Dataflow report
Check your email
DataFlow emails you when the report is ready. The report also goes to your health authority.
Open the status page
On dataflowstatus.com, enter your case number and passport number to view and download the report.
Lost the details?
Search with your client reference number, or ask us: we download the report from the health authority's portal and send it to you.
Why the status does not move
- An employer or institution has not answered DataFlow yet. This is the most common cause.
- DataFlow asked you for more information and is waiting.
- A council or university charges its own release fee and is waiting for it.
Terms such as "in progress", "quality check" or an extended due date usually mean the verification is still going on, an institution has not answered, more information is needed, or the report is in its final quality review. Check each document's status on the DataFlow status page and answer any request for missing information quickly. If the due date has passed, or the status has not changed for a long time, raise a ticket with the DataFlow support centre. Give your case number, the current status and screenshots, and ask which document is pending and whether anything is needed from you.
DataFlow's standard time is usually 30 to 35 working days, counted from payment and a complete set of documents; a late document delays the report. Tell us your case number and we check where it is stuck.
Using an old report again
- You already have a report: you do not need a new one. A Dataflow report has no expiry. New documents, such as the experience certificate from a new job, are added to the existing report.
- DHA says PSV reports have no validity: new documents are added to the existing report.
- Another authority: your report can be transferred, for example to DHA, DOH, MOHAP, SCFHS, NHRA or the DHP in Qatar. Choose the transfer service, give your previous case number, submit the documents asked for, sign a new Letter of Authorization if DataFlow asks for one, pay, and follow the new case online. In our cases a simple transfer takes 48 to 72 hours, or several weeks if more verification is needed.
- DOH (Abu Dhabi) accepts only reports addressed to DOH, so a report made for another authority is transferred to DOH.
Opening a second account
Do not create a new DataFlow account to "start again". Keep using the account that holds your case.
Ignoring the email
When DataFlow asks for information, the case waits. Check your email and spam folder every few days.
Sharing your login with strangers
Share your details only with people you know and trust. Never pay anyone who claims to "speed up" your report from inside DataFlow.
Frequently asked questions
How do I check my Dataflow status?
On the DataFlow Group's status page, dataflowstatus.com, with your case number and your passport number. If you are with Trueway, we follow it and update you on WhatsApp.
I have no Dataflow case number. How can I find my report?
DataFlow lets you search with your client reference number instead. The case number can also be found again through the email ID that was used for the application. You can also send us your details and we get the report from the health authority's portal.
How do I download my Dataflow report?
DataFlow emails you when the report is ready, and you can download it from its status page with your case number and passport number.
My Dataflow status has been in progress for weeks. Why?
Usually an employer, council or university has not answered DataFlow yet, DataFlow is waiting for information from you, or the report is in its final quality review. Answer any request for missing information quickly. If the due date has passed or nothing changes for a long time, a ticket goes to the DataFlow support centre with your case number, the current status and screenshots. Tell us your case number and we check where it is stuck.
DataFlow asked for a missing document. How do I add it?
You usually do not need to start a new application. Look in your existing case for the request for missing information (an "insufficiency" request), and submit exactly the document or information asked for, on the DataFlow status page or the applicant portal. If DataFlow asks for the same document again and again, the most common reason is that the upload was incomplete or not clear: upload a complete, clear scan.
My name or passport number is wrong on the application. Can it be fixed?
Yes. If your name changed after marriage, your marriage certificate is enough. For any other change of name, fill in a name change certificate and upload it to the DataFlow portal. For a passport number, correct the passport details and upload your updated passport in the DataFlow portal.
The payment page shows an error or "pending payment". What do I do?
First log out and back in, refresh your application, and check that every required field and document is complete. If a payment shows as pending, check your bank or card statement before you pay again, so you are not charged twice. If the reference number is rejected, check that you typed the right DataFlow case or application number with no extra spaces, and that you are on the right authority's portal. If it still does not work, contact the DataFlow support centre with your case number, a screenshot of the error, the payment date and the transaction reference. Never share your full card details or OTP with anyone. Send us the screenshot too and we help you follow it up.
Can I switch to Dataflow Express after I submit?
No. Express has to be chosen when you start the application; a case cannot be moved to Express once the process has started. Even with Express, the speed depends on how fast your employer, council and university answer.
Can I get a refund of the DataFlow fee?
No, the DataFlow fee is not refunded. The exception is an error on DataFlow's side, such as an internal error by the DataFlow team: then the fee is refunded.
Can I use my old Dataflow report for a new licence?
Yes. A Dataflow report has no expiry, and new documents are added to it. For another authority, the report is transferred with your previous case number; in our cases a simple transfer takes 48 to 72 hours, or several weeks if more verification is needed. DOH accepts only reports addressed to DOH, so a report for another authority is transferred to DOH.
