HCPC Registration from India for Allied Health Professionals
The Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registers 15 allied health professions in the UK. An application from India needs forms from your college, certified copies and proof of English. The 15 professions HCPC regulates, trained outside the UK.

Physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech and language therapists, arts therapists and practitioner psychologists.

Step 2: We get the Course Information Form from your college

Step 3: Certified copies and your registration
TruewayYour certificates, ID and proof of address are certified, and we arrange the verification of your registration with your council in India.
Step 4: The online application
TruewayYour details, qualification, professional experience, registrations, English and the declarations. You write your own accounts of practice; we check the application is complete before it goes in.
Step 5: HCPC assesses it
AuthorityHCPC aims to update you within 10 working days of its review. It contacts your college, your council and your referees, which can take up to 3 more months after a successful assessment.
Step 6: The decision
AuthoritySuccessful, a test of competence, or unsuccessful. After a successful decision, HCPC invites you to pay the registration fee.

IELTS 7.0 with no element below 6.5, or OET 1400 with no element below 300 (higher for speech and language therapists). HCPC no longer accepts a self-declaration.
Your college fills one form
The Course Information Form must come from the education provider of your main qualification, with its seal and a contact HCPC can verify.
Six months for missing papers
If HCPC asks for something, you have 6 months to send it. Complete files move faster, which is why we check yours before it goes in.

Which professions does the HCPC register?
Fifteen: arts therapists, biomedical scientists, chiropodists and podiatrists, clinical scientists, dietitians, hearing aid dispensers, occupational therapists, operating department practitioners, orthoptists, paramedics, physiotherapists, practitioner psychologists, prosthetists and orthotists, radiographers, and speech and language therapists. Nurses register with the NMC instead.
What is the HCPC Course Information Form?
A form about your course that your college or university completes and certifies, with its seal and a contact HCPC can verify. We take it to your college and follow it up.
What IELTS score does the HCPC need?
IELTS 7.0 overall with no element below 6.5, or OET 1400 with no element below 300. Speech and language therapists need IELTS 8.0 with no element below 7.5. The certificate must be no older than 2 years and taken at a test centre.
How long does HCPC registration take?
HCPC sets no fixed time: each application is assessed on its own. It aims to update you within 10 working days of its review, and its checks with your college, council and referees can take up to 3 more months.
What happens if HCPC asks for a test of competence?
