CORU Registration from India: Recognition of Your Qualification

CORU is Ireland's regulator for 12 health and social care professions. Before you can register, CORU must recognise your qualification, with verification forms signed and stamped by your college, your council and your employer. We handle the full process: the forms, the documents, the application and the follow-up.

  • College, council and employer forms
  • Fee confirmed before you start
  • Updates on WhatsApp

Who applies to CORU?

  • Imaging and science

Radiographers, radiation therapists and medical scientists.

How we handle it

Recognition first, then registration.

  1. Step 1: Tell us your profession and your qualification

    You

Your degree, the college, your council registration and your experience.

  2. Step 2: The verification forms

    Trueway

CORU's forms go to your college (required), your council in India (required) and your last employer (optional). Each signs and stamps its form. We take them, follow them up and collect them.

  3. Step 3: Certified documents

    Trueway

Certified copies of your ID, certificates, transcripts and course description, prepared to CORU's list.

  4. Step 4: The recognition application

    Trueway

We upload the documents and the forms to your CORU application and check it is complete. CORU closes an application when documents are not in within 6 months.

  5. Step 5: CORU assesses your qualification

    Authority

Two experts from your profession compare it with CORU's Standards of Proficiency. CORU says this can take up to 4 months once the file is complete.

  6. Step 6: Recognition, then registration

    Authority

With recognition you apply to register. Where there are substantial differences, CORU asks for a period of adaptation or an aptitude test first.
