In Bahrain, nurses are licensed by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NHRA). Every application goes through NHRA's online system, and the exam is booked with Prometric after NHRA gives you an eligibility code. This guide sets out the steps.
The steps
Application on NHRA's online system
Every professional licence application is submitted online, through NHRA's Mehan portal. Once it is complete, NHRA generates your eligibility code.
Dataflow
DataFlow verifies your documents for NHRA, and your good standing certificate as part of it.
The Prometric exam
Pass mark 60%. Your eligibility number is valid for up to four months.
Licence
NHRA issues the licence once its requirements are met. We check the remaining steps with you and your employer.

- A pass is valid for five years.
